Please carefully read the following new policy and procedures we are required to follow by our Santa Clara County health officials, OSHA, Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and the CDC to help stop/slow the spread of COVID-19.
NEW GUIDELINES AND POLICIES
We look forward to providing you with the excellent service once again while practicing our new safety measures as recommended by local, state and federal health authorities.
STRICT SANITATION PRACTICES
In addition to our Board of Barbering and Cosmetology sanitation practices we have always practiced and taking any and all additional steps necessary steps to stop any spread on surfaces and objects. All stations, counters, chairs and all tools will be cleaned and disinfected between each appointment. We are allowing 15 minutes between each appointment to ensure we have the proper time to practice these safety measures. We encourage you to be on time to your appointments so we can stay on a smooth schedule and have the proper time between each client to clean and sanitize.
Our team will be taking temperature checks before every shift before entering the salon. All clients will be asked the following questions before each appointment. Do you or anyone who you live with or have been around in the last 14 days have any of these symptoms?
Fever or chills
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches
New loss of taste or smell
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
COVID – 19 WAIVER
All clients will be asked to sign a COVID – 19 WAIVER before their appointment.
FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED
Face masks are required with ear loops must be worn at all times during your appointment. We will provide you with a surgical style one if it gets soiled during a color appointment. If you do not feel safe with what we provide and would like to provide, please bring an additional one to your color appointment.
Stylist stations will be 6ft apart and/or a wall between to maintain safe distancing. We will have to limit the time at our shampoos bowls to maintain the distance. Unfortunately, we will not be able to take our time and provide you with the massage that you are used to. We will be maintaining our distance from other stylists and clients near and around the shampoo area. Please take notice of any social distancing markers on the floor and adhere to where we have placed them for your safety.
Stylists and clients must regularly wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds. We will also have hand sanitizers throughout the salon for you to use if washing hands is not available to you.
We will not be offering blowouts or blow drying of any kind until further notice per Board of Barbering and Cosmetology recommendations along with the comfort levels of clients and stylists.
APPOINTMENT GUESTS ONLY
Due to the limited capacity safety measure we can only accept persons that have a scheduled appointment.
NEW CHILD POLICY
Due to the max capacity in our salon we cannot accommodate any child that needs be with a guardian at any time during their visit. They must be able to sit independently without any assistance.

Due to the safety precautions we have implemented that all stylist schedules have changed and are limited to ensure your safety and the safety of our team. We have extended our days and hours to accommodate as many appointments as possible.
We will contact you if you missed an appointment during the shelter in place. If you have a current appointment after we open, and we do not need to move that appointment, due to your stylist availability changes. then you are all set. Your appointment will be confirmed in the manner it has been in the past.

Due to our limited schedules our priority is our current clients and accommodating anyone that has had to reschedule. We are accepting new clients on a limited basis and suspending any walk-in appointment at this time.
RUNNING LATE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
If you find yourself more than 10 minutes late, we ask that you reschedule. We must follow these safety guidelines to be able to stay open and be safe. The success of our business depends on our commitment to safety and your understanding of our new policy and procedures. We are hopeful that this is temporary, and we will be able to go back to our previous practices for you to be able to enjoy your visits with us again.
CHECKING INTO YOUR APPOINTMENT
To minimize contact in our reception area, please do not arrive early to your appointment. If you happen to arrive early, please wait in your car and contact us at and let us know you are here. We will text you with our NEW GOOGLE# 650-550-TRUE (8783) This number will only be used for same day appointments. We will not respond to any texts if you text us regarding future appointments. We ask you use our main number 650-329-9397 and email email@example.com for all other communications.
REFRESHMENTS AND MAGAZINES
Complimentary beverages and magazines will not be offered to our clients at this time. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle.
We will have a clean and sanitized drape and robe for each appointment. We will permit you to have one bag or personal item with you during your visit. Please refrain from bringing too much as everything must be disinfected. Laptops are discouraged.
PRODUCTS AND RETAIL
New online retail store directly from our shelves!
Please refrain from touching products in the retail area. A team member will be happy to assist you in any purchase. We encourage you to pre-purchase from home or during your appointment from our new and improved website. YES! You can purchase product from our online store.
We are encouraging payments with Paypal and Venmo for contactless payments. We can accept cash tips but encourage you to bring exact change. We still accept all forms of payment but would like all efforts to be contactless if possible.
PRE-BOOKING NEXT APPOINTMENTS
We encourage you to book your next appointment during your visit while in the chair when possible. While we strive to have less contact at the front desk, we ask that you book only your follow up appointment before you leave. If you are in the habit of booking multiple appointments, we ask that you write down your services and dates you would like and either Lany or your stylist will contact you to confirm the dates your requested. You can also call or email in advance or at any time for pre-booking your appointments. It is important you keep in mind that pre-booking is important at this time due to your stylists limited availability.
ALL of us at True want to thank you for your patience and continued support and loyalty. We have missed our True family and all of you. Although it may seem like a very different experience at True for a little while we are still the same talented stylists behind these masks.
